Chris Parkinson

A founder member of world-touring The House Band, Chris Parkinson's associates include Martin Carthy, Norma Waterson, Ralph McTell, Mike Harding, Martin Simpson, Steve Phillips, Alistair Russell, Maggie Boyle, Steve Tilston, The John Wright Band, and John Kirkpatrick in The Sultans Of Squeeze (nominees for best duo Radio 2 Folk Awards 2006).

Tom Napper
vocal, tenor banjo, mandolin, octave mandolin, tenor guitar

Tom Napper's been a pro traditiional player all his life. He's a highly respected exponent of Irish banjo, and a sensitive singer. His associates include Dab Hand (Tom McConville, Gordon Tyrrall / Jez Lowe) Alistair Russell, Tony Wilson, Rob van Sante, Gina le Faux and now Ciaran Boyle and Dave Kosky in 'The Idle Road.'

Tom Bliss

Tom Bliss has been called a ‘master-craftsman’ of ‘real stature,’ who writes ’thoroughly riveting,’ ‘heart-stopping,’ ‘spellbinding’ narrative songs, based on true stories, in a unique combination of traditional and contemporary styles. He’s an energetic and engaging performer, who sings from the heart.

Tony Taffinder
vocal, guitar, bouzouki, mandola, mandolin, whistle, bodhran

Blessed with a truly lovely voice, Tony Taffinder is known for his work with Bernie Parry, Kate Howden and Paul Jones, Bruce Baillie, ceilidh band Shake a Leg, Leeds rockers Crosscut Saw and Sheffield bluesmen Sneakin Suspicion and you've probably met him at festivals on The Music Room stall.
